This is a picture of my distant cousin from the Mercado Clan side of the family helping one of the children during the flash flood in Cagayan de Oro last January 3, 2009.
After taking this picture had to run tot he house and secure a rope to help in the rescue effort. The current is very strong in this part. The road and the house acted like a funnel and this is the part where the water turns towards the river.
